Explore the Blue Ridge Treasure Trail

**this is still a working itinerary, but here's what. we favor right now:

Search for special finds while visiting local antique and vintage properties.

50 miles round-trip, this treasure trail is sure to ignite your thrifting senses.

If you're looking to cut it a little short, Lake James Antique Mall is likely the farthest out of the way.

Enjoy our shopping + treat suggestions for the itinerary below:

Vintage Market Antique Mall - 21 West Court Street, Marion 828-559-2700

Want a sweet treat? Mornings call for a local treat, Gogo's Cinnamon Rolls, sold at Ingenious Coffee Roasters and afternoons we're all about Artesana Ice Cream, both on Main St.

Happy Hen - 551 Burma Road West, Marion / 828-460-8823

Lake James Antique Mall - 2420 Harmony Grove Road, Nebo 828-803-3777

Just a few miles south, take an afternoon break and swing by South Creek Winery. Taste the award winning Bordeaux Style Wines at their charming century plus aged Italian Renaissance Farmhouse.

Mountain Laurel Antiques - 5031 US 221 North, Marion / 828-756-8200

If you've got more time to kill or are looking for dinner, follow Hwy 70 to Old Fort and try Hillman Brewery, featuring local craft brews and tasty sandwiches.

Or if you're looking to stay a little closer, curl back through Downtown Marion for an appetizer and Craft Beer at Refinery 13.

Notable Mentions:

If you're headed West, towards Asheville, be sure to make a swing through these:

Cheryl's Place (Mountain Home Thrift Store) - 10 Lake Eden Road, Black Mountain / more of a traditional thrift store, but their prices are amazing and it benefits a great cause: " it provides jobs and training for older youth as they work toward adulthood. Second, it provides income for the ministry serving abused, abandoned, and neglected children."

Buckeye Antiques Mall - 90 Buckeye cove Access Rd, Swannanoa, NC 28778

If you're looking for a family friendly camping or glamping vacation, look no further than Gold River camp + cabins. Located in Marion, NC, at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and just 45-minutes from Asheville, we are not short of activities. If you need additional suggestions, don't hesitate to reach out, I have activities to recommend in Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Burnsville, Asheville, Morganton and Hickory - all within an hours drive!
